Good Family Steamboat is at 84 and 86 Jalan Serampang in Taman Pelangi, a short drive from the Johor Bahru checkpoint. The restaurant opens from 12.30pm to 2am daily, which makes it useful after a late petrol run or a night out in JB.
The four-in-one pot lets each table choose four broths. Options shown in the video include signature fish soup, tom yum, tomato, mushroom, mala and Chinese herbal wine.
There is also a self-service sauce counter with chilli, spring onion and other toppings. The dining room has booth seating and enough table space for groups sharing several plates around the hotpot.
