Florida teen faces felony charge after allegedly setting friend on fire

A 17-year-old in Marion County, Florida, was charged with felony aggravated battery after deputies said video showed him setting a friend on fire.

FOX 35 Orlando reported that the incident took place on Jan 11 at Kauffman Island on Lake Kerr. Investigators said the teen created a trail with gasoline before the victim caught fire and ran into the lake.

The victim was hospitalised with burns. WFTV reported that the suspect faces a felony aggravated battery charge. The allegations have not been proven in court.
