Chinese badminton player Huang Yaqiong won mixed doubles gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics with partner Zheng Siwei on 2 August.
After the medal ceremony, Huang's boyfriend and fellow China player Liu Yuchen surprised her with flowers and proposed. Huang accepted.
Huang and Zheng beat South Korea's Kim Won-ho and Jeong Na-eun 21-8, 21-11 in the final. It was Huang and Zheng's first Olympic title after they won silver together at Tokyo 2020.
