A Malaysian woman's organ and tissue donations helped five patients after a procedure at Hospital Sungai Buloh in Selangor on June 21.

Hospital staff lined the corridor for a 'Walk of Honour' as Hajjah Normah Abdullah was taken through the hospital for the final time. Malaysian outlets Malay Mail, SAYS and The Rakyat Post reported the case in June.

The reports identified Normah as a former UiTM lecturer in geomatic sciences and Malaysia's first female land surveyor. Medical teams from Hospital Sungai Buloh and Universiti Malaya were involved in the donation procedure.

Her family honoured her decision to donate her organs and tissues after her death.
