A passenger on Malaysia Airlines flight MH318 to Beijing was escorted off the aircraft by security officers before departure, after crew alleged that he had inappropriately touched a female flight attendant. The incident happened in Kuala Lumpur shortly after midnight on 8 April 2026.
Video recorded by another passenger shows the man, still seated, disputing the accusation and asking whether his actions amounted to harassment. The flight attendant told him the airline would not allow him to stay on the flight, and two security officers then escorted him down the aisle.
The flight departed at about 12.41am, roughly an hour behind its scheduled 11.40pm departure. A tour group leader on board said a last-minute aircraft change had disrupted boarding, leaving some travellers unable to scan their boarding passes.
Malaysia Airlines has not issued an official statement on the incident. The account of what happened rests on the circulating video and reports from other passengers.
