Police arrested a 45-year-old man over suspected rash acts and weapons offences after residential windows at an HDB block along Jelapang Road were damaged by projectiles.
The Singapore Police Force said it received multiple reports between February and April 2023. Officers identified the man and arrested him along Jelapang Road on 2 May 2023.
Police seized clay and metal pellets, liquid gel balls, seven catapults, four airsoft pistols, a replica rifle capable of firing water gel pellets, two samurai swords and boxes believed to have been used for target practice.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the man had allegedly fired metal pellets from his home at road signs on several occasions. He was charged on 26 July 2024 with a rash act and weapons offences. The allegations remained subject to the court process at the time of the source post.
