A 32-year-old Singaporean was fined RM30,000 and deported from Malaysia after pleading guilty to five offences committed in Johor.
Two charges concerned trespassing at the Johor Abu Bakar Royal Museum and breaking a glass case containing private belongings of the Johor royal family on 25 February 2024. The court imposed fines of RM4,500 and RM10,000 for those offences.
He was also fined RM3,000 for breaking a hotel mirror, RM10,000 for overstaying in Malaysia by 183 days, and RM2,500 for administering methamphetamine and amphetamine to himself.
The man was deported after paying the fines.
