A coroner's inquiry on 6 August 2024 heard that a 33-year-old woman and her three-week-old son were found dead at the foot of their HDB block in December 2023.
The investigating officer told the court that relatives had noticed the mother was under severe stress after the birth. She had expressed worries about caring for her son and difficulties with breastfeeding.
Police said the pair died from injuries consistent with a fall from height and that they did not suspect foul play involving another person. A gag order prevents the publication of details that could identify the family or witnesses.
