Footage shared by SG Daily on 28 February 2026 shows a woman seated on an MRT train while eating ice cream. No confrontation is shown in the short clip.
Food and drinks are not allowed on Singapore's MRT trains or in railway premises outside designated areas. The Independent Singapore reported on the same video and noted that eating or drinking on the network may result in a fine of up to S$500.
The footage does not establish whether the commuter knew about the rule.
