A resident at an HDB block along Woodlands Drive 73 found shoes missing from a rack outside his flat on the morning of 10 April 2026. Security camera footage showed a man in a singlet, shorts and black gloves squatting at the rack and taking four pairs of footwear at about 6.05am.
In the footage, he bundles the shoes and walks to the end of the corridor, where he appears to throw them down the central rubbish chute. The resident said one pair of sneakers and three pairs of Crocs were taken, including shoes belonging to his children, worth about S$150 in total.
The resident checked his camera after the shoes went missing while his children were getting ready for school. Police confirmed that a report was lodged and said investigations are ongoing.
