A car collided with a ComfortDelGro taxi near Bendemeer MRT station on the morning of June 17, 2026. The 60-year-old taxi driver and his 43-year-old passenger were conscious when taken to Raffles Hospital.
Police said the 36-year-old car driver left the scene before officers arrived. They arrested him later that day for alleged offences including driving under the influence of drugs, dangerous driving, driving without a valid licence and possession of a scheduled weapon.
Suspected drugs, drug-related items, vapes and a knuckleduster were found in the car. Police investigations are ongoing. ComfortDelGro said the passenger was later discharged.
