A long-tailed macaque was filmed carrying a motionless infant from Old Upper Thomson Road into nearby forest on 25 December 2025.
The Straits Times reported that the sighting happened at about 4pm. Primatologist Andie Ang said the infant was likely a roadkill victim and that the adult macaque may have been responding to the loss.
SG Daily shared the footage on 12 January 2026.
