Aircon technician falls three floors at Kaki Bukit building

A 37-year-old aircon technician fell from the third floor of an industrial building at 30 Kaki Bukit Road 3 on 27 July 2024.

The Ministry of Manpower said the metal grating under him gave way while he was carrying out maintenance on an aircon unit. He fell onto a second-floor ledge before reaching the ground.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force took him to Changi General Hospital. Gain City, his employer, said he was in stable condition after leaving intensive care.

Gain City said the technician had taken the outside job without the company's knowledge and did not use the safety harness available in his vehicle. The Ministry of Manpower investigated the incident.
