A car caught fire in an HDB car park in Yishun on the morning of 9 March 2026. The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it extinguished the fire with a water jet and no injuries were reported.
The SG Daily source graphic identifies the location as the multi-storey car park at Yishun Block 511. The Straits Times reported, citing SCDF, that responders were alerted to Block 512 Yishun Street 41 at about 11.05am. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Nee Soon GRC MP Lee Hui Ying said HDB later confirmed that the car park was safe for use while cleaning and reinstatement work continued.
