A child's right leg became trapped in an escalator at Rivervale Mall on 29 August 2024. SCDF said it received the call for help at about 4pm.
Rescuers used hydraulic equipment to free the child at level one. She was then taken to KK Women's and Children's Hospital.
Footage from the scene shows emergency personnel around the escalator and a pink shoe caught near the side of a step. The source video says the child had been wearing Crocs when the accident happened.
