A robot MMA competition in Shenzhen put full-sized humanoid machines into a ring to trade punches and kicks.
The Ultimate Robot Knock-out Legend tournament was organised by Shenzhen robotics company EngineAI. Global Times reported that 32 teams used the company's T800 humanoid robot as the standard platform.
One robot knocked its opponent's head loose with a kick during the opening event. The damaged machine continued fighting using systems housed in its torso.
