A fire broke out in a 10th-floor flat at Block 512 Wellington Circle in Sembawang on 30 June 2026.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted at about 5.15pm and extinguished the bedroom fire with a water jet. A 46-year-old woman was taken conscious to Singapore General Hospital for smoke inhalation.
Police later arrested the woman for mischief by fire. SCDF said its preliminary investigation indicated that the fire was deliberately set, while police investigations were ongoing.
