Footage circulating online shows a group of students in what appears to be a toilet at ITE College East, with one of them holding a lighter to a pile of toilet paper stacked on the floor.
The clip shows the pile burning and growing larger before the students stamp on it to put it out. It was posted by a viral video account on 27 February 2026, and the person who filmed it did not say when the incident happened.
ITE College East principal Alvin Goh said the school is aware of a video showing a fire incident in one of its campus toilets and has identified the students involved. He said the school will take appropriate disciplinary action. No injuries were reported.
