He appears to be holding a packet of food in one hand and using his phone with the other. The footage does not identify the train line or show whether staff approached him.
Eating and drinking are prohibited in paid MRT areas, including trains, under the Rapid Transit Systems Regulations. SMRT reiterated the rule in June 2026.
