Police arrested a 32-year-old man at Tiong Bahru Plaza on 7 September 2026 after officers found that he was wanted for drug-related offences. The arrest took place at about 8.30pm during a routine police patrol.
The Singapore Police Force told Mothership that the man put up a struggle and officers used necessary force to restrain him. Footage shows two officers holding him against a wall in the shopping centre.
Police also found a vaporiser in his possession. The vaporiser-related matter was referred to the Health Sciences Authority, while the drug-related offences were referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau. Investigations were ongoing when the police issued their response.
