A Grab passenger said a private-hire driver streamed videos during a 10-minute journey in Singapore. Footage from the back seat shows a screen mounted near the dashboard while the car was moving.
The passenger said they considered speaking to the driver but did not want the situation to escalate inside a moving vehicle. They later lodged a report and said passengers should be able to expect drivers to keep their attention on the road.
Grab told AsiaOne that it would continue reinforcing safe driving behaviour with its driver-partners. The company urged drivers to remain focused on the road and asked passengers to report unsafe behaviour through the Help Centre in its app so it can investigate.
