A petrol station employee in Klang, Selangor, was filmed stopping a Singapore-registered car from pumping subsidised RON95 petrol. The incident reportedly took place on 20 June 2026.

The footage shows the employee approaching the vehicle and removing the yellow fuel nozzle. It is unclear how much petrol, if any, had already been dispensed.

Foreign-registered vehicles are not allowed to purchase Malaysia's subsidised RON95 petrol. Drivers must use an unsubsidised grade instead.
