Police arrested a 55-year-old man in Bedok North on 5 July 2026 after he allegedly swung a saw and refused repeated instructions to put it down.
Police told Stomp that officers responded to Block 539 Bedok North Street 3 at about 3.25pm. They used a Taser before arresting him for public nuisance, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and suspected drug consumption. The suspected drug offence was referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau, and investigations were ongoing when the report was published.
