Eight senior leaders representing 10 Singapore-based companies met Gan Kim Yong, K Shanmugam and Grace Fu on 28 October 2026 as authorities investigated possible links to haze-causing fires in Indonesia.
The companies pledged full cooperation after the National Environment Agency sought information about their corporate relationships, land concessions and fire-control measures. They are also expected to fund independent assessments and provide access to operations, records and supply chains.
Shanmugam said the inquiry was meant to establish the facts and that the companies should not be presumed guilty.
CNA reported more details from the ministers’ meeting and the companies’ joint statement.
