Liew Yik Kit was charged on Aug 15, 2024, with lying to the police and obstructing the course of justice in Singapore's S$3 billion money laundering case.
Liew was the personal driver of fugitive Su Binghai. Prosecutors alleged that he had Su's Rolls-Royce Phantom, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Ferrari F8 Spider and Ferrari Stradale, but told investigators that Su had left no valuables with him.
He was also accused of moving the four cars to a multi-storey car park at Upper Boon Keng Road. The Business Times reported that this caused the police to miss the vehicles during their seizure operation.
The case was resolved in June 2025. Liew pleaded guilty to lying to the police and received three months' jail. A charge of obstructing justice was considered during sentencing.
