A 20-year-old Singaporean woman who was reported missing was found safe in Cambodia. In a video recorded at Phnom Penh Municipal Police Headquarters, Aishah Siregar said she had travelled there by choice.
She said she left Singapore because she found life stressful and wanted to find her own path. She also said she planned to work as an English teacher.
Aishah denied that anyone forced or scammed her into travelling to Cambodia. She also denied taking part in scam operations or other criminal activity. Singapore police said Cambodian authorities found her safe, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Singapore Embassy in Phnom Penh provided consular support to her family.
