Stefanie Chua was trying to bring new customers to Tom & Stefanie when she appeared in our 27 January 2026 feature. The homegrown retailer sells children's clothes, toys and baby products, and was started by her parents in 1994.
Mothership reported in November 2025 that Chua, then 21 and a business student at Singapore Management University, had taken to social media after several outlet closures. She said the family business needed help and that she wanted to do something about it. Her parents had kept the remaining stores running while facing weaker footfall and rising costs.
The January feature listed four outlets: Woodlands Civic Centre at 900 South Woodlands Drive, #02-03; Hillion Mall at 17 Petir Road, #B1-42/43; PLQ Mall at 10 Paya Lebar Road, #03-18; and Eastpoint Mall at 3 Simei Street 6, #02-25.
