Johor police re-arrested a 31-year-old man who had been detained over the alleged abduction of a six-year-old girl.
Police said child sexual abuse material, adult pornography and sex toys were found at a residence in Kulai. The man was re-arrested on 4 August 2024 after his earlier remand ended.
A magistrate granted a further six-day remand to support investigations under Malaysia's Sexual Offences Against Children Act and Penal Code.
The girl went missing from a festival in Iskandar Puteri on 20 July and was found safe three days later at a budget hotel in Batang Kali, Selangor.
