A man was filmed scattering food to wild birds beside an HDB block in Singapore. The clip shows the birds gathering around him near the residential block.
NParks says the Wildlife Act prohibits feeding wildlife in Singapore. Anyone caught doing so can face a fine of up to $10,000.
The agency advises people to leave wild animals to forage naturally. Regular feeding can change their behaviour, draw them closer to people and increase local populations beyond what the area can support.
