A man was filmed kicking a woman at Lucky Plaza on Feb 8, 2026, as a crowd gathered around them. Footage shows one kick knocking the woman to the ground before bystanders step in.
Police later told CNA that a report had been lodged and investigations were under way. In April, a 47-year-old man was charged with two counts of voluntarily causing hurt and two counts of mischief over this incident and an earlier encounter with the same woman.
The Straits Times reported that the man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three weeks in jail on July 29. The victim's identity was protected by a gag order.
